Website Counters

I have not been a great fan of website counters previously but since I started this blog, I’ve been checking my site counters on a daily basis. It has turned into such an obssession that sometimes, I can be checking on them for 2 to 3 times per day.

The fact is if you installed a good counter, you’ll be able to gain a lot of information about visitors to your sites. Web site counters are useful to know the amount of people that have visited your site, which countries your visitors come from, ISP/IP data, browsers, referring URLs, InLive visitors (people currently on your site) and search engine data including keywords, search engine referrals and many more.

I do not want to elaborate more about the benefits of having a site counter as you can read them from the respective websites that offer the counters. Instead, I’m going to provide a list of the sites that offer free counters which have more indepth details of traffic:

1. Stat Counter - I’m using this one for all my current blogs.

2. StatSheet

3. OneStatFree

4. AmazingCounter

5. EasyPoll

If yours is not listed above, do share the ones that you are currently using.

does your control panel have a comprehensive stat counter?

just curious. MySQL’s control panel’s stat counter..is phenomenal! It also tracks robots/worms…counting them as non-traffic!

hey immomsdaughter. Alice said you are her sifu so could I tumpang some questions? I’m not a tech savvy person so am a little confused. (1) Is a google page rank 4 better than a page rank 1? Since i’m doing paid posts, some advertisers require at least PR4 or sometimes PR1. (2) i’m interested in getting my own domain but using blogspot to host it. could i change my existing blog (blogspot) to my own domain once I get it? Or do i need to set up a new blog? Wow..my comments are long eh? Appreciate your help :D Thanks :D
