Submitting To Blog Carnival

I’ve submitted a few articles to Blog Carnival and one recent one brought me massive traffic as my post was Stumbled Upon. Please note that when I mentioned massive, it is based on the fact that my blog is so new and there is very little visitors at this point of time. On Saturday itself, I had 150 unique visits.

Blog carnivals are the results of efforts put in by someone who takes the time to find really good blog posts on a given topic, and then puts all those posts together in a blog post called a “carnival”. To put it simply, it is an event that a blogger hosts on his or her own blog. Just about anyone can host a Blog Carnival or submit a post to a Carnival.

There are a couple of advantages of submitting your articles to a Blog Carnival:

a. EXPOSURE! Where else can I find such exposure for my new blog?

b. You get a FREE one way link to your blog. Instead of begging for link back, this is an opportunity to get links from blogs with decent rankings.

I have proven my point that blog carnival is also an important avenue to bring some traffic to your blog. However, the importance of maintaining readership still very much depends on one’s content. Bottom line, CONTENT IS KING but a little help here and there does not hurt.
