Being a mom, it can sometimes be difficult for me to concentrate on writing paid posts. The kids can be sick, I can be sick (though that’s very rare as mommies are super heroes), endless chores to do, etc. So, there are days when I can go without an income from writing paid posts.

If you truly want to concentrate on earning a stable income from a blog, I’d suggest having a balance between paid posts and link advertising. Having said that, it is not that easy achieving an equal balance if you do not have a high traffic blog. The reason why I truly advocate text link advertising is because it is a form of recurring income. This means, if you are not writing paid posts, you’ll still be paid for the links sold on your blogs. It is pretty easy to copy and paste a couple of codes and let them sit on your blog. The best part of course, you get paid for a one time work. That’s all!

I have a total of 8 text links sold on 2 of my blogs which is giving me a monthly income of $150. Not much but certainly decent pocket money. There are many avenues to sell text link on your blog and the leader of text link brokers in the market is currently Text Link Ads. Frankly speaking, I am not a fan of TLA. So, in my coming posts, I will share with you a few other text link brokers that are available in the market.
