To those who have paid the earlier premium price for the Apple iPhone, I am sorry to say that this time round, it really doesn’t seem to be a good idea to fall into the early adopters group. Reason being Apple has recently announced that the 4GB iPhone will be phased out soon and the 8GB model will see a price drop of $200 bringing the device to the $350-$400 range.

Though it is typical of all cellphone manufacturers to slash cell phone rice within a year after its release, this move is seen by many as too soon and a shrewd decision by Apple which was made too soon, perhaps in time for the coming holidays hoping for a huge increase in sales.
All I can say is I’m glad that we do not have the phone available to us until Year 2008. By then, perhaps it would not be known as The Revolutionary Phone any more.
