Don’t Forget The Little People
I considered myself one of those “Little People” or more precisely “Little Blogger” as this blog still has a Page Rank of Zero. Some of you may know that when I first started this blog, I had asked for a reciprocal link from a blog with PR3 and was rejected. How cool is that?
From there, I learned my lesson and with my BDMM community going stronger, I have no problem getting backlinks. However, I am still getting emails from bloggers for link exchange and most of these bloggers are newbies. Normally, I will check out their blogs and in most cases, I will agree to the request.
I believe that everybody have to start somewhere and it’s only fair that they are given a chance. You never know, these new blogs might be a PR5 or 6 in the next update. I know that not everyone will agree with me and many who consider themselves as high profile bloggers would not be bothered with such requests.I say to each his own but I am definitely a firm believer of my own motto “Never Forget The Little People“.

I never ask ppl to link me, i just link them, if they notice and feel like linking back, good, if they don’t, fine too, they are not obliged to link a small fly blog like mine.:-)

Hey Leah, I agree that’s one of the strategy to use. However, if you have a blog with more traffic, you may not have time to blog hop and notice whether your links are up on their blogs or not.
I personally prefer people asking me directly. But whatever works, that’s the best option, right

i do have bloggers from time to time asking for link exchange with my PR4 blog. normally, i’ll just link them after i see that they have linked me…if after that they take out my link, only God knows.

Michelle - Good of you to do that but sometimes I’m not too observant and can overlook blogs that linked me. So, I’d rather people ask me directly.
