I’ve done a couple of assignment for Smorty and have received their payment. However, in order to quality as a postie, you have to own your own domain. One of their regulation is that the blog must be a root domain e.g. www.domain.com and NOT www.domain.com/myblog. However, subdomains are acceptable, e.g. www.myblog.domain.com

Other rules and terms includes:

1. Blogs that are not indexed, have little or no content, are banned from search engines or contain hate related and crude content may be rejected or put on Probation until corrected.

2. Bloggers get paid on a weekly basis only for the approved blog posts.

3. Once a campaign has been accepted by the blogger, you have up to 72hrs to confirm the link in your post before ownership is given to another blogger.

What I like about Smorty is you do not have to necessarily endorse the advertiser’s website products or services. It can be a positive, neutral or even negative review depending on postie’s own opinion. Smorty emphasizes the importance of correct grammar because posts may be rejected by Advertisers for incorrect grammar used.

When you do a review, you must include anchor text links to the campaigns website URL in your blog. There is a minimum requirement of 150 words and a maximum of 400 for blog entry approval. Anchor texts with backlinks to advertiser must not contain “no follow” tags.
