Domain and Webhost

My shopping blog is hosted on GoDaddy through a reseller. Even though many would say the guy’s service is wonderful, from my own personal experience, I would prefer to deal directly with the webhosting company’s support service.

My reasons are:

a) When I have problem and issues with my site, I want almost instantaneous response. Most webhost company have 24/7 support but a reseller operates on his own. Hence, what do you do when he is away on vacation?

b) You get a better deal directly from the webhost in terms of hosting package and price.

c) I cannot even deal direct with the web host when I sign up via a reseller.

As I have not tried out other web host, I have no other experience to share. I suggest you do a google search and read up on whatever articles you can find.

Another tip is to always be on the look out for promo codes available which gives you certain discount off the package or domain name when you sign up. A simple search on “XXX coupon promo code” will yield many positive results. I myself have obtained $2 off the price of this domain by using the promo codes that I found this way.
